Daisy was born on July 12th, 1947 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Abraham and Flossie Bray Burton.
Daisy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed word search puzzles. Daisy had a very special pet cat named “Stinker”. She was an avid WLJC follower and viewer.
Daisy was survived by her fiancé Robert Horneck of Somerset, Kentucky; one son, Lee (and Trish) Brasfield, Jr. of Batavia, Ohio; one daughter, Dianna (and Jeff) Sims of Somerset, Kentucky; two sisters, Mary Burton and Lola (and Jackie) Cummins, both of Somerset, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Phillip Parrott, Noah Brasfield, Ayla Brasfield, Russell (and Kayla) Brasfield, and Jordan (and Tamara) Sims; four great-grandchildren, Sophie Brasfield, Olivia Brasfield, Forrest Brasfield, and Beauregard Sims; one sister-in-law, Faye Scales Burton of Shopville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham Burton and Flossie Burton; one son, Jerry Wayne Brasfield; and two brothers, Raymond Burton and George Burton.
Visitations were held on Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 23rd, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Scott Hughes officiating.
Burial followed in the Fair View Cemetery.
