Mrs. Easter Shafer
The sad news reached her many relatives and friends in the Florence country last Thursday, of the death at the home of her daughter in Corpus Christi, of Mrs. Easter Shafer, for many years a resident of the Rock Hill Community where she reared a large family of children. Her remains were brought to that community for burial, the funeral services conducted by her lifelong friend, Rev. J.K. Griggs of Florence. Mrs. Shafer was loved and highly respected by all who knew her, and the Vidette joins the many friends of the family in offering its sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
Note: The newspaper listed her first name as Easter but the census listed her as Esther.
