Allen D. Glezen, 71, of Lisle went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2017.
He was predeceased by his parents Virginia & Gordon Glezen. He is survived by his wife, Judith, children; Cheryl (Troy) Donnelly, David Glezen, Wendy (Steve) Morgan, Amy Glezen, Daniel Abbey, Robert Abbey, Jeffrey (Maria) Abbey, Karen (Steve) Rafferty, his grandchildren; Jessica, Mark, Dustin, Emma, Ava, Hunter, Noah, Porter, Aviana, Andrew, Adelyn; his brothers; Barry Glezen, Dale (Mary) Glezen, Gregory (Shirley) Glezen, special Aunt, Marilynn Dunham and family, many cousins, nephews, and nieces. And, we can’t forget his 8 special kitties missing him at home.
Allen was a 46 year member of the Lisle Fire Company where he has served as Chief, 1st Assistant Chief, Assistant Treasurer, Captain of the Fire Police and was on the Board of Directors. He was the Vice President of Northern Broome Chiefs, a Trustee and member of Center Lisle Congregational Church, and taught for 33 years at Whitney Point Schools. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, hunting, card playing and was a weather enthusiast.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Center Lisle Congregational Church, 9670 Rt. 79, Lisle, New York. Burial will be in Center Lisle Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sunset Memorial Services, 2659 Main Street, Whitney Point, New York on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to: Center Lisle Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 9670 Rt. 79, Lisle, New York 13797 or Lisle Fire Company, Inc., P. O.
