Ann was the wife of the late Earl A. Sterner to whom she was married for 17 years until his passing in September, 1997. She was also married to the late Cecil A. Fout for 43 years until his passing in May, 1978.
Born March 29, 1920, in the town of Old Fields, in Hardy County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Dottie May (Kelley) Wilkins and was one of ten children.
Mrs. Sterner was a life long member of Grace United Church of Christ, Hanover. Ann was also a member of the local AARP of St. Mark's Lutheran Church Chapter 1842. Mrs. Sterner retired from the Hanover Shoe Company after 34 years of service. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Ann was preceded in death by one son, Paul C. Fout; one grandson, Lee E. Graffius; six brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with her pastor, the Rev. Bruce P. Bouchard, officiating.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Serving as casketbearers will be William Scott Graffius, Aaron S. Graffius, W. Russell Garrett, Welby Snyder, Jr., Herman Wilkins, Jr., and Matthew Wilkins.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Ann's name to the Hospice Program of the Hanover VNA, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331; or Grace United Church Of Christ, 200 Fourth St., Hanover, PA 17331.
