Hazel Marie Holeman, 99, of Chickasha died on June 15, 2017 in Chickasha. She was born the daughter of John Wilson and Ida Williams Wilson on January 8, 1918 in the community of Pine Hill near Bristow, OK.

Hazel graduated from Olive High School in Olive, OK. She married Lawrence Holeman in 1936 and the couple farmed and raised cattle until Lawrence entered the US Army during WWII. When he was discharged in 1945 they moved to Drumright, OK where he worked for Magnolia Petroleum Company. During his 37 years with the company, Hazel and Lawrence lived in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma, living in Chickasha from 1960 to 1965. They moved back to Chickasha in 1970 after a few years elsewhere. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Susanna Wesley Circle and the Wedding Ring Sunday School Class.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, Floyd, Bud, Johnny and Jack Wilson; one sister Polly Dobbs; and granddaughter Jennifer Bowers Denton.

Hazel is survived by her daughter Marilyn Bowers and husband Steve; grandchildren Leah Smith and husband Richard and Mark Bowers and wife Keilani; great-grandchildren Julia Federline, Brittany Comeaux, Reid Smith, Gillian Smith and Sylvia Smith; sister Lola Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Epworth United Methodist Church. Rev. Scott Keneda will officiate. Interment will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Bristow City Cemetery in Bristow, OK.
