Paragon Farmer Dies Yesterday
A Paragon farmer, Fred H. Schwomyer, who bad lived for many years in Ashland Township died yesterday morning at the Wampler Nursing Home in Gosport. Although ill for over two years, Mr. Schwomyer had been in the nursing home for only two weeks.
Mr. Schwomyer was 85 years old, and was born in Indianapolis December 31, 1869. In 1938 he was married to Mrs. Isabelle Bryant, who survives.
In addition to the wife he is survived by two daughters and one son, Miss Merle Schwomyer, Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Lillian Harwick, Allen Park, Mich,, and Fred Schwomyer, Ossawa, Mich. Also, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mable Applegate, and stepson, Frank Bryant, both of Paragon, two brothers, George and Edward Schwomyer, and a sister Mrs. Anna Kennedy, all of Cloverdale.
Mr. Schwomyer was a member of the United Brethren Church in Indianapolis, Knights of Pythias, No, 254, and Indiana Order of Red Men, No. 452.
The body was taken to the Whitaker Funeral Home in Gosport where friends may call any time. Rev. Warren Isenhour will conduct funeral services which will be held Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Floral Park, Indianapolis.
Grandson Donald Bruder Parents Lillian Schwomyer and Ernie Burder.
