Lori Jane (Skiles) Marshall, 45, of New Castle, formerly of Rushville and Laurel, came into this world on September 5, 1971. She was born to Michael and Karen Key Skiles stealing the hearts of her parents. She had a love for old barns, sunflowers, and rustic beauty. And who could forget her love for the aptly named silly Disney friend Goofy... Lori was goofy: a loyal friend, a kind spirit, and a loving daughter, sister and aunt. Lori left this world on June 15, 2017, leaving her mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

Lori graduated from RCHS in 1990, attended Indiana Business College and Ivy Tech, and later becoming a Head Start preschool teacher. Most recently, she worked as a Manager at Family Dollar, a clerk at Speedway, and an associate at TS Tech. Lori loved all kinds of music, from country to rap and who could forget her obsession with the artists, Ice Cube and Prince. She will forever be missed, but we know in our hearts that she is rejoicing in heaven with her husband Delbert and her grandmother Laura.

Lori is survived by her parents Mike and Karen Skiles of Rushville; sisters Shannon (Brandon) Skiles Waggoner of Knightstown and Amy Munson of Richmond; two brothers Chuck (Tammy) Skiles of North Vernon and Joshua (Stacey) Skiles of Rushville; twelve nieces and nephews: Chuck, Tyler, Samantha, and Michael Skiles; Emma, Hayden, and Becca Waggoner; Ashlyn and Hayllie Pope, and Jason Holliday; Braden Wheeler and Owen Skiles. She loved them all dearly and they brought joy to her life.

Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, grandparents, and Uncle Danny Lee.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor Elaine Stewart presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Lori's pallbearers will be her loving family members, Brandon Waggoner, Jeff Baldasare, Donnie, Kendall and Jason Ervine and Daniel Munson with burial immediately following at East Hill Cemetery.
