Hanora ( AKA Nora) Batiste was born July 8th 1894 to Frederick Nathaniel Batiste of New Hampshire and Hanora McAuliffe from Ireland.
Nora was one of nine children. She was raised and married in Brocton Massachusetts where she started her family.
Nora had a very famous 2'nd great grandfather on her fathers side. His name was Sampson Battis Sr. His slave owner was Col Archelaus Moore. He took a great liking to Sampson and eventually Sampson fought with Moore in the Revolutionary War. Sampson achieved the rank of Major and given command of a battalion by then Governor Gilman in 1800. This was unheard of back in that time. Sampson lived to be 100 years old. Documentaries and books have been written about him.

Nora married Harvey G. Olson in 1915 at age 21. She and Harvey had three children, 2 son's, Francis Eugene Nov 1916, Harvey Charles July 1915 and a daughter, Dorothea Genevieve July 1922.

She divorced Harvey Olson sometime in the 1940's and moved to New York with her son Harvey Jr. She then relocated to Los Angles California to be near her son Frank and daughter Dorothy.

She remarried September 22 1946 to to Alton Frank, in Los Angeles California and they relocated to Florida where they resided until their deaths. Nora Returned to California after Alton's death but at some point returned to Florida and remained until her death in 1972.
