Nancy Joyce Newland was born January 19, 1923, in Los Angeles, CA, to parents, Harvey Newland and Joyce Percey Newland. She was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Pasadena High School. Nancy attended college at UCLA where she met Jack Deen. They married in Pasadena on January 22, 1946. She and Jack lived in Wills Point and started Deen Dairy in 1955, where they raised 8 children. Nancy graduated from East Texas State University in 1981, with a finance degree. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point and volunteered in the baby room for 65 years. Nancy was a bookkeeper for White Rose Cemetery and the First Baptist Learning Center. She served on the Board of Directors for First Baptist Learning Center and was selected Wills Point Woman of the Year.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Joyce Newland and her husband, Jack Egbert Deen in 1976 and a sister, Margaret Newland Cooper.
