Daughter of Dr. James Lente Manney (~1827-1889) and Julia Ann Fulford (~1827-bef 1869).

~ ~ ~

On 21 April 1885, in Beaufort, Carteret County, North Carolina, she marries Edward E. Perry (1851-1910), her first cousin, son of Benjamin Leecraft Perry, Sr. (1811-1869) and Elizabeth Vail Manney (~1817-~1887).

~ ~ ~

They had no children. They adopted Naomi Dockery (~1888-1968) who was born in North Carolina as were both of her parents. It appears that her birth parents are Abraham L. Dockery (~1861-?) and Rachel Stanton/Staton (~1859-) who were married 14 January 1880 in Madison County, North Carolina.

Naomi first married Rev. Dr. Rufus C. Beamon (1860-1926) as his second wife on the 8th of July 1907 at Centenary Methodist Church, New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina of which he was the pastor. In 1909, they part company and they later divorce before he remarries in 1914. She marries Frederick Knowlton Plympton (1881-1968).

Naomi had a sister, Virginia Dockery (~1888-1975), who it appears was adopted by William Franklin Morgan (1851-1913) and Harriett/Hattie C. Osborne (~1856-1931) of Monroe, Union County, North Carolina. Virginia married William Henry Crow (1888-1969) on 1 June 1911 in Union County, North Carolina.
