Glen Hope – Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona, for Frank J. Dotts Sr., 62, of Glen Hope, who died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at 7:15 p.m. at Altoona Hospital.
Paul Hollen will officiate, and interment will be at Crossroads Cemetery, Beccaria.
Friends will be received at the funeral home tonight from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Born Feb. 21, 1941, in Glen Hope, he was a son of Odella (Copenhaver) Dotts Pizzino and the late Henry Dotts.
He was self-employed at the president of Cambria Mills Coal Co. Inc., and was a Navy veteran.
On May 28, 1960, in Grampian, he wed Nancy L. Rafferty, who survives.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Ronald Sr., and his wife, Michelle and Frank Jr., and his wife, LaLani, of Coalport RD; two daughters, Tawny Downs and Kandi Peterson and her husband, Ryan, all of Glen Hope; a sister, Sylvia Ricketts of Utahville; James Beers of Coalport, who was raised in Mr. Dotts' home; eight grandchildren, T.J., Ronald Jr., Tracy, Heather, Bradley, Dustin, Kristal and Trevor; and a step granddaughter, Joni Stanton.
Mr. Dotts was preceded in death by his father in 1972)
