BENJAMIN WALL DROWNED

Funeral services for Benjamin Wall, 63, who was drowned while fishing Tuesday night at 11:30, were held at the Presbyterian Church Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock by the pastor, Dr. James Sill of Warrensburg.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Martha Wall to whom he was married June 4, 1946. Six stepchildren, Kenneth, Burnis and Ed Simpson, Mesdames Jimmy Runner, Mildena Kerr and Miss Wanda Simpson; one sister, Mrs. Maude J. Atkins; four brothers, O.W., R.A., A.M., Rufus A., a number of nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
His mother and father and four brothers, C.O., J.R., E.H., and Jimmy have preceded him.
A choir sang "No Night There," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder." Pall bearers were his nephews, Edgar Atkins, Homer, Walter and John Wall, Virgil Lowry and E.R. Giltner.
Burial was in the Wall Cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the people of this community who helped in any way to recover the body of this loved one, for the flowers, food sent in, and any expression of kindness and sympathy
