Katharine "Kash" Beaver Hilton, age 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home at Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community.
She was born in Bellefonte, PA on January 4, 1919 to Millicent Prince and Thomas Beaver.
She graduated from Penn State University in 1940 and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She taught math at AC Reynolds High School for 25 years where she was dedicated to the development and success of her students.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her four siblings, James Beaver, Margaret Wilkinson, Thomas Beaver Jr., and Mary Murray. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. Hilton.
She is survived by her daughter, Katharine "Kit" Lyday and her husband Jim of Brevard; her sons, Thomas "Tim" Hilton and his wife Carolyn of Blowing Rock, and David Hilton of Whittier; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Asheville at a later date.
