John is the son of John Hall & Susan Roath who came to America before he was born. They moved to Ohio when he was 5 years of age. John married Polly Marie Pelton [dau of Gustavus Storrs Pelton & Lydia Bailey] in Ohio. They moved to Illinois in 1869 then in 1876 they moved to Pawnee Rock, KS. He farmed there for many years. When he retired in 1904 they moved to Isabella, OK where he lived until his death. He was a loyal friend, a good neighbor, a loving husband and father and greatly respected by all who knew him. John & Polly had 11 children, 40 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren (The Halls from England to the United States)
