Services for Lester F. Gideon, Ozark, were held last Thursday in Harris Chapel with the Rev. Benny Dewitt officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Sparta. Mr. Gideon died 11:50 Feb. 26 in Baxter General Hospital, Mountain Home, Ark., after a long illness. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Ethel; seven sons, Ronald, Grand Junction, Colo., Robert, Chadwick, Dean, Picher, Okla., Jimmy, Ponce de Leon and Ray and Larry Lee, both of Springfield; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Payne, Sparta, Mrs. Mona Shipman, Ozark, Mrs. Kathleen Gilbert, Oldfield, Mrs. Margaret Ann Clark, Springfield and Miss Shirley Jean Gideon of the home; one sister, Mrs. Marie Davis, Ozark,; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
