Mr. Huyck was born April 1, 1879 in Roads Creek, near Deposit, a son of William E. and Lovina (Beagle) Huyck. He was twice married. His first marriage was to Maggie Lewis who died many years ago. His second marriage was to Winifred Spoonhower on December 10, 1918 at Binghamton.
Mr. Huyck was a monument dealer and had resided at Walton for the past 45 years. Previous to that he had lived in Susquehanna, Pa.
He was a long-time member of the Walton Kiwanis Club and a former trustee and Mayor of the Village of Walton.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Davis, Sidney; Mrs. Pauline Dix, Rome, and Mrs. Frances Finch, Walton; three sons, Frank W., Dr. Marvin L. Huyck, and John L., all of Walton; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
