Janie Ruth, age 74, passed from this earth to her heavenly home Friday, January 12, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. She was born August 13, 1932 in Repton, AL to Houston S. Ryals and Francis Mary Hancock Ryals. Janie Ruth loved the Lord and was of the Holiness faith. She had a passion for music and played the organ at her church. She was a very loving, giving and caring person who was loved and cherished by all who came in contact with her. Janie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband,J.C. Varnadore; two brothers, Lamar H. Ryals and John T. Pierce; two sisters, Lilly Bell McLeod and Mary Francis Rutherford.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Donald Luke Richards; two sons, Danny M. Varnadore and Jimmy C. Varnadore; two grandsons, and two great grandchildren; a sister, Estell Johnson; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, Cantonment. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ark Penton, Matt Bennett, Sr., Matthew Bennett, Jr., James Matthews, Clint Ryals and Joe Ryals.
