Bernadine J. Meminger, age 90, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away April 9, 2011, at Northwest Ohio Hospice. She was born in Toledo on July 17, 1920, to Harry and Effie Poad.
Bernadine's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She also loved to dance and even won a Jitterbug dance contest.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis "Woody" Meminger; sister, Gladys Drouillard; brother, James Poad.
Bernadine is survived by her son, Daniel (Erleen) Meminger; grandchildren, Debra (Ray) Gomas, Denise "Dee" Widmer, Diana Winters, Melanie Mowry, Richard (Michelle) Scott and Earl Meminger; 15 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Erthel) Poad; sister-in-law, Flora Poad; mother of 3 of the grandchildren, Marilyn Zeigler; best friends, Alice Tippy, Deborah Carcus and Lonna Lowe.
Visitation for Bernadine will be at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd., 419-473-1301 on Wednesday, April 13, from 3:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00am in the funeral home and follow with interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
