Evelyn M. Hedstrom, 96, a resident of Fairhaven Christian Retirement Community in Rockford, Illinois, and formerly a longtime resident of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on August 6, 2009 in her home. Born November 22, 1912 in Chicago, to Albert and Hildur (Larsson) Peterson.
Evelyn married Clifton B. Hedstrom March 20, 1935 in Chicago. She was a dedicated member of Lakeview/Edgebrook Free Church in Chicago and a member of First Evangelical Free Church of Rockford.
Survived by: children, Donna Botz and Judith (John) Ahlquist; cherished grandchildren, Shawn (Kelly) Brady, Kimberly Brady, Katrina (Michael) McIntosh, Erik (Sara) Ahlquist; great-grandchildren Annika and Tobias McIntosh, Hunter, Anne and Samuel Ahlquist; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Clifton, parents; sisters, Ruth and Helga Peterson; and brothers David, Hilly, Roy and George Peterson.
