Services for Mr. Chelsea Faydette Moore, 87 of Fort Necessity, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church in Fort Necessity with Rev. Rex Barker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Moore was born on December 15, 1929 and passed away at his residence on June 6, 2017. He was a Sunday School teacher and member of Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and Korean War. He was a devoted Christian, with loyalty to his family, church, and country. He was an avid fisherman, and loved teaching at Ogden School, where he enjoyed coaching the girls basketball team, and teaching Vo-Ag at Fort Necessity High School. He was awarded coach of the year, for many years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to play his guitar and read. He would read several books each week.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Ola McDaniel Moore.

Survivors include: Daughter, Katherine Moore Prickett and husband James of Fort Necessity, son, Steve Edward Moore and wife Cindy S. Moore of West Monroe, LA., sister, Vikki Moore Haring and husband Tommy of Fort Necessity, 3 grandchildren, Alicia Payne Crum and husband Shane of Fort Necessity, Jonathan Edward Moore of West Monroe, Chelsea Moore Herman and husband Kris of Greer, South Carolina, 4 great-grandchildren, Chelsea McGregor-Harvey and spouse Bridgette McGregor Harvey, Hailey Michele Crum, Emily Morgan Crum, Kenlea Reese Moore, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers are: Steve Sellers Moore, James Felton Moore, Edwin Ray Bryan, Jonathan Edward Moore, and Michael Bryan.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Ray Bryan, Jimbo Colvin, Tommy Ross, Tommy Haring, and Ernest McMurray.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8th at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
