Willie Mae Chance was a member of the Pine Burr Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers. She retired as an Operator from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after thirty-five years of service.

She was a kind, loving, and giving lady to all that knew her as mother, nana, sister, aunt sis and friend. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her brother, George C. "Bud" Jackson and sisters, Jewell Gholson, Gladys Mitchell, Edna Ferguson and Zerelda Vellardita.

She was survived by her daughter, Barbara Broussard and husband, Gene; son, Milton Chance and wife, Evelyn; brother Dewey Jackson; grandchildren, Robyn Gutierrez and husband, Ricky, Marla Aucoin and husband, Darin, Glen Chance, Clint Broussard and Kemi Jackson and husband, James; nine great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
