On 30 September 1978, he married Marsha Schultz in Courtland. Lonnie worked for Woody’s Body Shop for ten years and prior to his death was working in the accounting department of Jackpot Junction.
Lonnie was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. He liked music, played drums and guitar, and enjoyed art, painting, and photography.
Lonnie Rae Ahrens, of Franklin, died at the age of 43, on Monday, 15 February 1999, at the Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls, Redwood County, Minnesota.
Lonnie was survived by his son, Jesse Michael Ahrens of Truman, parents, William (Woody) and Sally Ahrens of Franklin; sister, Sherri Zimmerman (Thomas) of Windom; and four nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, 19 February 1999, at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Franklin.
