Betty Jo Driver, 76, of Americus died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center. She was born November 14, 1940 in Macon County to the late Harvey and Verlie Raper. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and camping. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. Rev. Lawrence Wiggins and Rev. Mark Carter will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Lee Wilborn; three sons and daughter-in-law: Billy Driver, Jr. and his wife Lillie “Fran,” Michael Wayne Driver and his fiancée, Kathy Arnold, and Walter Steven Driver. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Joey and Jennifer Driver, Andy and Lani Driver, Josh and Summer Driver, Jessi Driver, Emilee Driver, Macy and Zach Daniel, Bryce Driver, Marley Driver, Cory Lowell, and Courtney Lowell; seven great-grandchildren: Blakely Driver, Wade Driver, Eli Driver, Ramsey Driver, Ryleigh Driver, McKinlee Lowell, and Olivia VanCleave; a sister, Edna King; a brother, William Raper, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Billy Driver, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Phoebe-Sumter Hospice, P.O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga 31709, or to Salem United Methodist Church, 942 Upper River Road, Americus, Ga 31709.
