Marion enlisted in the U S Navy shortly after Pearl Harbor and was stationed in Hawaii for two years. He then served an LDS mission in Alberta, Canada, where he met Jessie Ellen Low. He later married Jessie in the Mesa Arizona Temple, December 10, 1948.
Marion completed two Master’s Degrees before beginning his career as a school teacher in Southern California. He taught High School for 35 years, retiring to Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Marion had the uncanny knack to “bubble gum and paper clip” broken things. His greatest joy was helping others. He really loved hot chocolate and pineapple pie.
Marion is preceded in death by his wife Jessie, his parents and his siblings. He is survived by his three daughters: Shirley Swain, Julie Stringer and Sandra (Park) Romney. He also has 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 9, 2017
