Sister Oswina Rader, 102, died Tuesday at St. Scholastica Convent, St. Cloud. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Benedict's Monastery Chapel, St. Joseph. Burial will be in the monastery cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 to 6 p.m. today at St. Scholastica Convent and from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the monastery chapeL Wake services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the convent and 7 p.m. today at St Benedict s. Sister Oswina Rader was born Jan. 16, 1895, in St. Leo to Henry and Mary (Baierl) Rader. She entered St. Benedict's Monastery on July 10, 1913, made her first vows July 11, 1914, and final vows Jury 11, 1917. She then began a teaching career that lasted for more than 50 years. She taught in Dickinson, N.D., for more than 31 years; and in Little Falls, Watkins, Freeport, Sauk Centre, Cold Spring and Browerville. She then taught religion part-time in Sobieski from 1973 until she retired and moved to St. Scholastica Convent in 1986. Survivors include her sister, Madge Lilliquist, Panorama City, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and five sisters.
