OPELIKA, AL -- Services for Lois Sanders Adcox, 92, of Opelika, formerly of LaFayette, AL, will be Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette. Burial will be at the LaFayette Cemetery. Rev Clifford DeLee will officiate.
Mrs. Adcox, who died Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Bethany House in Auburn, was born September 26, 1909. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Claude Adcox.
She is survived by four daughters; Faye Benefield of Roanoke, AL, Evelyn Johnson of LaFayette, AL and Carol Barfield and Judy Sanford of Opelika, AL; five sons, Bennie Adcox of Flint, MI, Jimmy Adcox of Hampton, VA, Troy Adcox of Shelton, CT, Franklin Adcox of New Baltimore, MI, and Elmer Adcox of Bulls Gap, TN; a sister, Lorene Lovelace of LaFayette, AL; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends and relatives at Timothy Manor Activities Building, 2016 Waverly Parkway, Opelika, AL on Wednesday, July 17, 2002.
