Wesley Clifton Brown, 87, of Charlottesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Wesley was born on July 1, 1929, in Charlottesville, to the late Frank Walker and Mattie Jane Goode Brown.

Wesley served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1956. He did numerous jobs throughout his life including construction, landscaping, and his favorite, a salesman for Piedmont Supply in Lunenburg, Va. Wesley enjoyed meeting people and travelling. He was married 43 years to his lovely wife, Barbara. He enjoyed his family vacations, playing pool, basketball, bluegrass music, horse racing, as well as watching sports and westerns. He had a great sense of humor and kept laughing every day. Wesley and Barbara were the best parents and friends a person could ever hope for.

In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hawkins Brown; sister, Margie Hallstead; and brother, Emmett Dempsey Brown.

Wesley is survived by his son, Charles Brown; sister, Betty Anne Powell; nieces, Karen Aguilar and Cindy Zug; nephews, Bruce, David, and Billy Powell, Robert Dempsey Brown, and Chris Carver; grandson, Trevor Brown; and his beautiful dear friends he adored so much, Ana Sotto, and Sharmaine Salvacion, of Toronto, Canada.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at 2 p.m., at Monticello Memory Gardens in Charlottesville. teaguefuneralhome.com.
