Catherine L. Campbell, 87, formerly of Mechanic St., Luray, died on Friday, June 27, 2014, at MontVue Nursing Home.
She was born on May 12, 1927, in Shenandoah and was a daughter of the late Hubert L. Campbell and Mamie Smelser Campbell.
Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker. Her husband, Millard Martin Campbell, died on Feb. 7, 2009.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie L. Brown and husband Billy Brown of Luray; a son, Millard Martin "Josh" Campbell and wife Rebecca Campbell of Luray; a brother, Hubert "Hump" Campbell and wife Ethel Campbell of Luray; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Campbell of Luray, and Nellie Campbell of Front Royal; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelby Jean Blosser; a sister, Louise "Sis" Cash; five brothers, Robert, Paul, Mohler "Buddy," Ralph "Pete" and Willie "Peck" Campbell; two grandchildren, Raymond "Junior" Blosser and Melissa L. Adams; and one great-grandchild, Brandon N. Sommers.
A funeral service was conducted on Sunday, June 29, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. R. Nicholas Eichelberger. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
