Born in Hart County, Ga., he was a son of the late Emzira and Eliza Bagwell Heaton. He was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and Mens Bible Class. He was the oldest member of the church. He was a retired textile worker.
Surviving are wife, of the home; son, Ardis Heaton of Anderson; daughters, Mrs. Foster (Maggie) Aiken of Greenville, Mrs. Roy (Ruby) Martin and Mrs. Joe (Sue) Martin of Anderson; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Services at 2 p.m. Saturday at McDougalds North Chapel by the Revs Joaquin Garrison and Lewis Coward. Burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Harry Osborne, J. W. Long, Leroy Bane, Heyward Dunn, Allen Pierce and Ray Evans.
