Alice Marie (Gatewood) Boman of Miami, OK passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Higher Call Nursing Home in Quapaw, OK. She was 81.

Alice was born November 12, 1935 in Tonkawa, OK to Raymond and Emmarie (Ritthaler) Gatewood. She had lived in Miami since 1998 moving from Sapulpa, OK. She graduated from Stark High School in 1953 in Stark, KS. Alice was the office manager for Associated Anesthesiologists of Tulsa, OK and was a director in Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was a member of the All Saints' Episcopal Church in Miami, OK.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband William Dean Boman on February 19, 2009; she was also preceded by her parents, 2 brothers Tom Gatewood and Billy Gatewood and a granddaughter Keli Marie Boman and her son-in-law, Ken Harvey.

Survivors include 2 daughters Kay Boman – Harvey of Miami, OK and Deana Rae Engle and husband Don of Sapulpa, OK, 3 brothers Bob Gatewood and wife Shirley of Houston, TX, Jim Gatewood and wife Darlene of Wyandotte, OK and Larry Gatewood and wife Sally of Miami, OK, a sister Linda Bratcher and husband Stephen of Miami, OK, 5 grandchildren Deuce and Aimee Watson, Heather Watson, Calton and Stephanie Harvey, Amy and Matt Ensley and Obadiah and Michelle Harvey, 8 great grandchildren, Alice Ann, Drake, Addison, Grace, Marcus, Abigail, Dylan and Elias.

Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Miami, OK. The Rev. Mary Koppel and Ben Whaley officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at All Saints' Episcopal Church. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
