Mary Theresa Arcure, 88, of Fairmont passed away Thursday June 1, 2017 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Fairmont on September 21, 1928 daughter of the late James and Victoria Garzia Priolette.
Theresa attended Wheeling Beautician School. She started out as a beautician at the former Jones Department Store and then opened her own shop at 618 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont. She was also part owner of Valley Distributing in Fairmont. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. She was also a former member of the St. Anthony’s Club at the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law Nicholas and Lisa Ann Arcure and Michael and DeEtta Arcure all of Fairmont.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Michelle and husband Tanner James of Huntington, Carrie and husband Adam Pratt of Morgantown, Nicholas F. Arcure II and Becky Bennett of Franklin, and Matthew Arcure and Carmen Pennington of Morgantown. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Coleman Pratt, Vivian Jean Pratt, Isabella Arcure and Lucca Matthew Arcure.
Theresa is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Martin Michael and Beverly Arcure of Fairmont Marjorie Arcure, Joanne (Ronald) Blankenship of Fairmont, Thomas Arcure of Middletown, Ohio, and Josephine Priolette of Fairmont and a cousin James Garzia of Fairmont. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James J. Arcure in 2004 and one sister Rose Yerace, and four brothers Rocco, Joseph, Frank and John Priolette.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 5, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Fr. Robert A. Perriello as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
