Mr. Ameigh was born in Canton, Pennsylvania, 6 Oct 1909, The son of Frederick Charles Ameigh and Bessie May Wilcox. He was a resident of Elmira and Watervliet before he moved to Loudonville in 1976.
Mr. Ameigh was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was employed as a machine operator for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Co., Watervliet, for 34 years before he retired in 1974.
Mr. Ameigh was a member of the Loudonville Presbyterian Church. He was a former elder at the Jermain Memorial Presbyterian Church in Watervliet. He was a 50-year member of Evening Star Masonic Lodge in Latham.
Mr. Ameigh married Ethel Mae Graham on 7 Oct 1939 in Watervliet. Mr. Ameigh was predeceased by a daughter, Lois Ethel Ameigh in 1946.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Graham Ameigh; two sons, Alan H. Ameigh of Washingtonville, Pa., and Kenneth G. Ameigh of Loudonville; three sisters, Annie McIlwain of Elmira, Genevieve Kamp of Leesburg, Fla., and Louise Pierce of Columbia Crossroads, Pa.; and a grandson.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Bowen Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Burial in Albany Rural Cemetery in Colonie.
Calling hours will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
