Our mom was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She learned to sew to make a living. With this talent, she created her own fashion. She met our dad at a dance when he was on leave. They married 13 January 1945 and settled in Philly. Every summer, she would pack up the family and we would travel out west to see our dad's parents and siblings in western South Dakota. She was also a member of the Wissinoming Lions Club Auxilary. She got us to join the girl scouts and she became a leader too. Thank you mom, for all your guidance and keeping the family uniformed.
