J. M. VAN HOUTEN DIES IN HOSPITAL
James Martin Van Houten, a sheet metal foreman for the Great Northern Railway company here, died today in a hospital. His home was at E 517 Hoffman.
A resident of Spokane for 45 years, Mr. Van Houten was a Shriner and a Mason and a member of local 163 of the Order of Eastern Star.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, at the home; two sons, a daughter, a brother, a sister and six grandchildren. Only one of the sons, Edward Palmer, lives in Spokane.
The body is at Thornhill-Carey's.
