Violet June "Tootie" Sperberg, age 78, of Shawano, heard God call her name and took his hand and entered her Heavenly Home on Thursday, May 10, 2007, after a brief illness.

Violet was born on June 14, 1928, in the Town of Richmond, the daughter of William Zastrow and Aurelia (Cotter) Dallmann. She was baptized Sept. 2, 1928, and started her journey of faith at her confirmation on March 29, 1942, at the Evangelical Church of Red River. Raymond and Violet were united in marriage on May 5, 1945, at the Evangelical Church of Red River. She was a member there for her entire life. Violet enjoyed being a homemaker, but her greatest gift was as an angel here on earth to help care for others and lend a helping hand when needed. She enjoyed watching the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, The Young and The Restless and the Green Bay Packers, playing bingo, playing cards with her sisters, bowling, and teaching Sunday school and Bible school. Violet was an active member of the Salem United Methodist Women as Sunshine Chairperson and Prayer Calendar for Women’s Missions around the World.

The 56 years of marriage of Raymond and Violet brought forth this family: she is survived by: two daughters and two sons, Carol (Donald) Brei of Cecil, Calvin (Patty) Sperberg of Green Bay, Connie (Jerry) Bukoski of Shawano, Chris (Kathy) Sperberg of Shawano; eight grandchildren, Kim (Mike) Gardner of Green Bay, Jennifer Brei of Westport, Chad (Tina) Burr of Shawano, Calvin (Jennifer) Sperberg of Green Bay, Steven Brei of Fond du Lac, Nathan (Summer) Bukoski of Fall River, Theresa Bukoski of Shawano, Joey Sperberg of Shawano; a step-grandson, Sean Micksch of Green Bay; and eight great-grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Emma, Calvin, Destiny, Connor, Gabi, and Olivia whom she enjoyed being with.
