W. Arch Bridgeman, 89, who resided north of Jacksonville, was found dead at his home Wednesday evening. Mr. Bridgeman was the son of John and Mary Braner Bridgeman. He was married to Effie McAllister who preceded him in death in 1959.

Surviving are two children: Alma, wife of Earl Hopper of Jacksonville and Glen of San Bernadine, California; two sisters, Mrs. Lora Braner and Miss Gertrude Bridgeman, both of rural Jacksonville.

There are two grandsons, Roy Bridgeman of San Bernadino, California and Vernon Hopper of Orlando, Florida, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bridgeman was a farmer by occupation. He was a member of IOOF #4 and had received his 50 year jewel, and was a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Williamson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time. IOOF rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services for W. Arch Bridgeman were held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Williamson Funeral Home with Reverend William J. Boston officiating. Mrs. Francis Angel served as organist for the service. Assisting with the flowers were Mrs. Paul Jones, Mrs. Tom Murgatroyd, Miss Charlotte Noll, Miss Loretta Hubert and Mrs. Clyde Patterson. Pallbearers were Carl James, Charles Jones, Francis Watkins, Everett Long, Paul Black and Tom Murgatroyd. Members of IOOF Lodge #4 conducted rites at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday with Elbert Brasel, noble grand and Claude Armstrong, chaplain, presiding. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
