Josephine "Jodie" T. Rohr, age 91, of Wautoma, passed away early Friday morning, May 26, 2017 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah.
She was born Oct. 16, 1925 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Albert and Alma (Herbst) Drane. She married Wallace J. "Wally" Rohr on June 24, 1944. He preceded her in death after 71 years of marriage on Nov. 21, 2015.
Jodie and her late husband operated Otter Bay Resort at Cable, WI for 10 years before moving to Wautoma in 1996. She enjoyed fishing, golfing (making two holes-in-one after open heart surgery at age 80), gardening, feeding and watching the birds in her beautiful backyard. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She truly was the heart and soul of her family and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by five children, Wallace J. (Susan) Rohr Jr., Tucson, AZ, Pat Riek, Bellingham, WA, Peggy (Dr. Jose) Duran, Corpus Christi, TX, Dan (Carol) Rohr, Palm Coast, FL, and Jim (Lisa) Rohr, Randolph; 11 grandchildren: Wallace (Alexa) Rohr III, Jason (Cherilyn) Rohr, Jenny Rohr, Ray (Lisa) Daily, Dan (Amy) Riek, Miguel (Sol) Duran, Andres Duran, M.D. , Cristina (Jonathan) Morris, Katie, Maddie and Owen Rohr; six great grandchildren: Wallace IV, Bristol, RJ, Tyler, Kayleigh and William. She is further survived by Joseph Lynch of Wautoma, other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and by seven siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. David Greskowiak officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
