Rites Today for Lifetime Resident of Tracy District

Miss Edith L. Frerichs, 62, a native of Tracy, passed away Friday at the home of her sister, Mrs. R. A. Miller at Sugar Pine near Sonora, after an extended illness. She had been making her home in the mountain area for the past eight months.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hotchkiss funeral chapel, with interment following in Tracy cemetery. Pallbearers were S. J. Frerichs Jr., Robert Frerichs, Nick Canale, R. J. Marraccini, Harry Fisk and Henry Fisk.
Daughter of a pioneer Tracy couple, the late George and Emma (Goetgen) Frerichs, she had lived her entire life in the Tracy district. For many years she served as secretary of the Tracy Cemetery District, a position her mother had held before her since the association was organized. Her father served as an early city clerk of Tracy.
Miss Frerichs was a member of several Tracy organizations, including Samaria Rebekah lodge, El Pescadero Parlor, Native Daughters of the Golden West, San Joaquin chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and Castle Rock Circle, Neighbors of Woodcraft.
The rites were conducted by Rev. Howard Rhodes, pastor of First Presbyterian church.
