LAST RITES FOR AMOS W. MCGEE
**************************************

Final rites were held at Demark Memorial chapel on Thursday afternoon for the late Amos W. McGee, 61, who passed away in Dameron hospital in Stockton, Tuesday morning following a brief illness.

Tracy Odd Fellows, under the leadership of George Gitschel as noble grand and T. O. Young as chaplain, with Rev. C. W. Bourne of First Presbyterian church opening the services, conducted the rites at the chapel.

The local Knights of Pythias lodge conducted the services at the cemetery with R. J. Marraccini, C. H. Delosier and Henry Batterman taking part to represent the lodge.

Deceased was a native of Iowa and came to Tracy 42 years ago where he engaged in farming until he retired in 1932. In November, 1900, he married Miss Bertha Frerichs. Besides the widow he leave a sister, Mrs. Maude Newsome of Wisconsin and two brothers, William McGee of Stockton and J. W. McGee of Tracy.

McGee was a member of West Side Lodge, Knights of Pythias; Tracy Pioneer Society and Odd Fellows Lodge in Iowa.

Pall bearers were Joe Payne, Nick Heinbockel, Arthur Ladd, Charles Boltzen, John Oliver and Victor Lee. Honorary pall bearers were, S. S. McLain, Ben Canale, John Thoming, Fred Herzog, Fred Goetjen and Sam Silvey.

Sacred hymns were rendered by Mrs. Evelyn Hotchkiss accopanied at the organ by Mrs. O. H. Lea. Interment took place at Tracy cemetery under the directo of F. L. DeMark.
