Age 93, son of the late Angelo Bernardini and Ines Venturini Bernardini Trevison. He was a graduate of Technical Memorial High School class of 1943. During WWII, Roy served in the European Theatre with General Patton's 3rd Army, Company G 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Division. After his return, Roy became a Union iron worker and painter, eventually becoming a partner in Bernardini and Schmitz Painting and ultimately the sole owner of Bernardini Painting. After 27 years in the painting business, Roy went to work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Commerce until his retirement. Roy was a member of numerous social and civic organizations but most of all, he was a GOLFER! He was a member of Lawrence Park Golf Club for over 45 years, as well as serving a term on its Board of Directors.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lois S. Blair Bernardini (d May 18, 2012, age 84); his four year old sister Furlina who passed away in 1926; step-father Patrick J Trevison; step-sister Agnes R "Aggie" Trevison Fabrizio; and step-brother Anthony M. Trevison.

He is survived by his two sons Richard Bernardini (wife Deborah) of Erie; and Robert Bernardini (Stuart Peterson/Domestic Partner) of San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
