Born Feb. 26, 1921, in Martinsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Emmaline (Voorheis) McDaniel.
She was the widow of Harry Herbert Fulford, whom she married Oct. 17, 1940. He died Jan. 9, 1996.
She retired from Allison Transmission in Indianapolis after more than 20 years.
She was a 1940 graduate of Martinsville High School.
She enjoyed growing tomatoes.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Michael D. Fulford of Trenton, S.C. and James V. Fulford of Napa Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Sheila R. Latham of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas J. Fulford; and two brothers, William Kenneth and Charles Edward McDaniel.
