Graveside services for Willard Nathan Adams are 3:00 pm, March 31,2016, at the Hulbert City Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Clayton Sellers. Final arrangements have been placed under the care of green Country Funeral.
Willard Nathan “Griz” Adams was born January 13,1945, in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Nathan and Anna Adams. He passed away on March 29, 2016, at his home in Welling, Oklahoma at the age of 71.
Willard was a 1963 graduate of Tahlequah High School.
Following high school he enlisted in the National Guard and served seven years.
In 1964, Willard met the love of his life Lorene Sellers. They married and went on to enjoy 51 years of marriage. From this union came their two children Tanya and Jerry.
Willard was a welder by trade and in the past few years he has been working on making handcrafted knives which are admired by all who see them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he could.
Willard is preceded in death by parents, Nathan and Anna Adams; and sister Wilma Wilson.
Willard is survived by his wife Lorene of the home; daughter, Tanya Graham and husband Billy, and son, Jerry Adams and wife April; five grandchildren; Sarah Escoe and husband Ricky, Laura Parrish, Amber Leist, Ally Leist, Autmn Leist, two great grandchildren, Braxton Escoe, and Braylen Escoe; a brother Carl Adams and wife Lorene; and sister, Thelma England and husband Loyd; as well as many other friends and loved ones.
