MARTHA JANE FIELD
Funeral services for Martha Jane Field, 82, were Wednesday at Waggener & Campbell Chapel, with the Rev. Vernon D. Harrah, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Lake Blaine, officiating.
Burial was in Conrad Memorial Cemetery with Philip Buck, Howard Buck, Kenneth Eslick, Hugh O. Parker, Alfred L. Fox and Roy Ripke as pallbearers.
Martha Jane Field was born July 11, 1875, at Coalville, Utah. She grew to womanhood there and in 1903 was married to Eben L. Benson, who died a number of years ago. In 1920, she was married to Horace Field and with her husband made her home for a time near Burley, Idaho. She later moved to American Falls, Idaho, and came from there to the Creston community in 1936, where she and her husband established their farm. She had made her home there since that time.
Mrs. Field was a member of Ruth Rebekah Lodge of Burley, Idaho, and a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star at American Falls, Idaho.
She died in a Missoula hospital Jan. 13.
Mrs. Field was preceded in death by her husband Horace, on Aug. 20, 1945. Surviving her are three sons, Frank L. Benson of Potlatch, Idaho; Fred M. Benson of Boise, Idaho, and John Benson of Creston; one brother, Frank E. Savage of Stockton, Calif., and four grandchildren.
