Born Thomas Byron Cummings 9 Sep 1952 to Kenneth Clark "KC" Cummings and Dorothy Berdahl in Miles City, MT. The family moved to Wenatchee when he was three years old. He graduated from Eastmont High School, class of '71. "Tommy" spent many summers in Forsyth, MT. visiting his aunt and uncle and cousins. He worked for the railroad for a bit and then joined the Navy in January 1972, and was part of the WestPac Tour. Tom was the "Fuel King" on aircraft carriers and left the Navy with an honorable discharge in January 1978. While in the Navy he joined the International Divers Association and became a certified diver. Most of his diving was in Guam. His last ship was the USS Proteus.

When he came home he enrolled at Wenatchee Valley College and entered the X-ray Tech program making the Dean's List with a 3.9 GPA. After some time with the Forest Service he began working at Lamb Weston/Conagra working his way up to Production Lead, retiring in 2009 after 30 years, due to medical reasons. He liked fishing and bow hunting with friends and always had time for the kids, any kids.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Aspen Marie Snider, sisters: Kim Cummings and Sandy Smith; one brother, Curtis Cummings; his parents, KC Cummings and Dorothy Floyd.
