Per obituary in The Morning Sun, Alma, Michigan, 28Jun2015: Lowell G. Huckins 81, Riverdale, Michigan, died June 7, 2015 in Lansing, Michigan. Born November 24, 1933 in Lansing, Michigan, son of L.D. and Ruth (Teed) Huckins. Lowell was a former employee of Consumers Energy and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In July of 1958, Lowell married the love of his life, Patricia. He was man of faith; devoted member of Riverdale Seventh Day Adventist Church; member of VFW of Six Lakes, and enjoyed spending time with family and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Russell Huckins and Martin (Leila) Huckins; daughters, Tina (Jeffrey) Avery and Jessica (Jon) Seaver; 28 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren; and sister, Doreen Huckins, Loree DeBolt, and Sandy Church. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Patricia; sisters, Irene Ochring, Oralee Bailey and Frieda Wasson. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, 11 a.m., visitation 10 a.m. at the Riverdale Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6392 N.W. Lumberjack Road, Riverdale, MI 48877, with Pastor Chuck Hanlon officiating. Military Honors will follow at Richland Cemetery, Vestaburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
