Mrs. Lulu M Shindledecker, 72, Fairfield, died suddenly early Sunday morning about three hours after her admission to the Warner Hospital.
Dr. C.G. Crist, Adams County coroner, said the death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Shindledecker, whose husband, Charles Shindledecker, died 13 years ago, was visiting friends in Gettysburg when she became ill Saturday night. She was removed by the local ambulance to the hospital where death occurred at 1:20 Sunday morning.
Surviving are ten children; Raymond, Gettysburg R1; Earl, Waynesboro; Blaine, Fairfield RD; Mrs. Wilbur Lohman, Arizona; Mrs. Paul Dubbs, Gettysburg R2; Mrs. Robert Fleming, Fairfield; Eugene, Fairfield; Ellis, Fairfield; Wayne, Augusta, Ga., and Mrs. Charles Wilson, Fairfield.
Also surviving are 27 children, 12 great grandchildren, a brother, Lloyd Troxell, Gettysburg RD2, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Shindledecker, Fairfield R2.
A daughter of the late Alex and Alice Anders Troxell, Mrs. Shindledecker was a native of Maryland who had resided for the last 65 years in Fairfield. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Funeral services Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Allison Funeral Home, Fairfield, with the Rev. Oscar E Feeman officiating. Interment in the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
