Ralph was a veteran of the Vietnam War having proudly served his country from 1966 to 1968. After his tour, he came home and married his "babe" Juanita nee Zermeno on March 2, 1968 and they eventually settled into the southwest suburbs.
Ralph devoted most of his life working at Electro-Motive in McCook Il. as a TinsSmith, Local 719 and retired after 40 years of employment.
With retiring came some time to enjoy travel and the opportunity to ride around on beautiful sunny days in his 2001 Red Corvette as he always had a love of sports car.
He was an avid NFL follower and with his wife at his side would watch nearly every weekly game. His Corona and lime in hand, scrutinizing the plays and predicting the outcomes.
His clever wit and joking manner always brought much laughter to his monthly meets for cards and games with his buddies. A true camaraderie that brought them all together.
Preceded in death by his father Amando
Ralph is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years.
His mother Caroline Arias, most fond and cherished brother to Amando Jr.
Tomas (Cindy), Velinda, and Rick (Jennifer).
Treasured uncle of numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Cremation rites were accorded.
"Say not in grief, that he is gone.
Rather give thanks that we were blessed
He was ours for awhile".
Ralph will always be remembered in our hearts for his willingness to help others.
A husband, brother, uncle and friend so respected for his loyalty guidance, strength and inspirational words of wisdom to all those who's lives he touched.
