Joan Bellomy died March 28, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital at the age of 76.

She was born June 30, 1938 in Antigo to the late Adolph and Arlene (Vanderheyden) DeBroux. She married Dale "Curly" Bellomy on March 28, 1956 in Antigo.

She spent the next 18 years traveling for Dale's employment with the US Air Force. They moved back to Antigo in 1979.

Mrs. Bellomy worked in the office at Prange Way, and later as night auditor at the Cutlass Motor Lodge. She enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She also loved playing cards with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Debra (Calvin) Gardner of Birnamwood, Doris (Brian) Ekeland of Durango, CO, Rudy (Connie) Bellomy of Grand Forks, ND, Teresa (Pat) Carley of Antigo, and Gary Bellomy of Antigo; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, Ron DeBroux, and a grandson, Matthew Carley.

A funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Pastor James Reed officiating. Visitation will be 2:30-4:00 at the funeral home. . Inurnment with her husband will take place on a later date at Elmwood Cemetery.
