"Edner Hardwick, age 83 was born March 13, 1934 the son of the late Clarence and Luverna Coffey Hardwick. He passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Cumberland County Hospital

On June 16, 1956 he united in marriage with his wife of 58 years, Glenda Doris Hardwick, who passed away July 4th, 2014.

He is survived by his daughters: Debra Ann (Kelly) Branscum and Tammy (Brian) Kennedy; grandchildren: Kelly Dwayne (Angel) Branscum, Dustin Wade (Brandy) Branscum, Candice (Andy) Abbott, Cody Kennedy, Breonna Kennedy and Tanner Kennedy; siblings: Ivory Atkins, Clorie Slagle, Boyd and Troy Hardwick.

The funeral service will be 1PM Thursday in the Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Elk Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 Wednesday and Thursday until service time.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Edner Hardwick Memorial fund."
