LOGANSPORT, LA–Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Stella Adams, 87, will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Logansport, LA with Rev. Charles Hall and Rev. Timothy Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Logansport, LA. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church in Logansport, LA on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 5PM till 7PM.

Stella was born on July 15, 1929 to J.B. and Verue Marshall and entered into rest on May 20, 2017. Stella graduated from Oak Grove High School Class of 1948 in Stanley, LA. Mrs. Adams and her husband ran Adams Chicken Farms for many years. Together they owned Adams Ford Dealership in Logansport, LA. Stella was a member of First Baptist Church in Logansport and a former choir member. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Preceding Stella in death are her parents, J.B. and Verue Marshall; and sister, Ann Howell.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 69 years, Lewis Wayne Adams of Logansport, LA; son, Jackie Louis Adams of Logansport, LA; daughter, Linda Jane Perot and her husband Murphy of Logansport, LA; brothers, Richard Marshall and his wife Alta and Calvin Marshall both of Pasadena, TX; grandchildren, Brian Adams and his wife Maegan of Logansport, LA, Chris Adams of Longview, TX, and Kevin Perot and his fiancée Felisha Parson of Savannah, TX; great grandchildren, Kaitlynne, Alaina, Alexis and Haleigh; and special caregiver, Donna Hayden.

Honoring the life of Stella as pallbearers will be Russell Adams, Edward Howell, David Graves, Wayne Davis, David Cunningham, and Don Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church of Logansport.

We say goodbye to our foundation, our rock, our cherished angel on Earth. A daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother and loving friend to any that knew her – she will be extremely missed as we all move forward.

Her care, support, hard work and dedication are the values that we aim to live by, each and every day.
